6TH GRADE CLASS
The 6th grade class series includes beginning instruction in a variety of ballroom and line dances. Etiquette topics include shaking hands, introductions, basic table manners, telephone usage, correspondence, polite conversation and other areas of social behavior that build poise and confidence.
7TH – 8TH GRADE CLASS
Offered in the Round Rock location, the 7th – 8th grade program is not a repeat of the 6th grade classes. It builds on past skills, while covering new topics and dance steps. Both returning and new students practice what they are learning in small groups. Table manners and handling eating utensils correctly are stressed with hands-on instruction. The highlight of the year is an optional, instructional seated dinner before the Ball.
Girls wear dresses or skirts for classes and age appropriate party dresses for the Ball.
Boys wear dress pants with a belt and tucked in collared shirts (polo/golf knits or button downs) for classes. Jackets and ties are required for the Ball.
Both boys and girls wear shoes appropriate for dancing—no tennis shoes, platform soles, flip flops or slide sandals.
