About the Junior Cotillion Program in North Austin, Cedar Park, Leander, and Round Rock, Texas:
Junior Cotillion gives middle school age boys and girls instruction and practice in social skills that build confidence and self-assurance. A group setting provides opportunities for reinforcement and practice with peers in a fun, socially safe atmosphere. Joan Snodgrass and Brannon Smith personally lead each class, following a carefully structured curriculum that addresses manners, etiquette and basic ballroom dancing. The goal of the program is to teach social skills that last a lifetime. A guiding principle is that students learn best when they are having a good time.
There are two separate class locations available—North Austin-Cedar Park/Leander and Round Rock. Students who attend Williamson County based schools (both public and private) and those who are homeschooled are eligible to register.
The Cotillion year consists of six events–five classes and a Ball which is the final event of the program. Classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and are balanced evenly between girls and boys.
In the event that Covid-19 mandates prevent classes from occurring, tuition will be refunded (either in full if no classes are held or pro-rated if the program is condensed).
